Free 30 Minute Consultation in Mount Pleasant & Charleston SC

Looking for Counseling?

Finding a therapist may sound like an overwhelming task, but it doesn’t have to be. The most important thing is feeling safe and comfortable with your therapist. I often compare the process to dating. Sometimes you get lucky and the first therapist you meet turns out to be a great fit. While for others, it may take meeting a few therapists before finding the right one.

One thing to consider is location when looking for counseling. If you are the type of person who often runs late for things, always leave some extra time for travel, or pick a closer therapist. It should be a distance where you feel you could travel to once a week with no issues.

My office is located just 5 minutes off the Arthur Ravenel Bridge in Mount Pleasant which helps connect those coming from West Ashley, James Island, Daniel Island, and North Charleston.

How counseling can help?

Reaching out to a therapist can sometimes be the scariest part; followed by the initial therapy session where you meet the therapist. The good news- you’ll know exactly what to expect the next time you attend an appointment which helps alleviate any anxious feelings most people feel.

Counseling is helpful for multiple reasons. It offers those who are feeling lost, alone and confused a place to explore and unravel their feelings. It offers support to those who lack motivation, who are fearful of the future, who have a hard time moving on from the past, who are experiencing relationship issues, and who need help managing their anger, and symptoms of their anxiety, depression, and trauma.

Therapy provides you will an example of what a trusting and healthy relationship should look like. It’s a place to figure out your identity, set some goals, and check in with yourself.  How frequently you should attend will be recommended by the therapist based on your needs and the severity of your concerns.

How to Get Started?  Special Offer

You’ve searched and found a few therapists you’d like to consider but you’re unsure how to make that decision because they’re all accredited mental health professionals who fit your preferences in gender, age, and location? One effective way to filter these choices is to see if they have an exclusive offer like a free phone consultation. Not all therapists do this.

I offer all my new clients a free 30-minute consultation where I can answer all their questions. This is helpful because you can gain a little more comfort and knowledge about the therapist before having to commit to a paid therapy session.
