Therapy for Depression

Depression is often unseen by many. Some days you can stir up the strength to smile and get out of bed, but most days, you feel worthless, numb, and alone. And almost every day, you’d rather be a ghost so that you can avoid everybody and everything.

And, it’s constant. Behind every smile is that feeling of sadness, ruminating, affecting your every thought and every your decision. It just won’t go away, and it’s starting to feel like it’s taken over your life. It’s caused you to cancel plans, distance yourself from family and friends, have thoughts of self-harm, or just putting an end to it all. There it is again, that feeling of doom and loneliness.

Depression can come and go. Sometimes it decides to stay for a couple of days, and sometimes it lasts for months. But, why? Why can’t I just overcome it already? Why can’t I smile and pray that it all goes away? Well, sometimes it’s not our choice. But you don’t have to figure it all out on your own.
